Did I mention, that i really like my present blog skin? Esp the pic, cos the toast in it is burnt! But the words' format huh, jue2 de2 heng3 bu4 sun4 yan4.

Today was the Ultimate Frisbee Womens' League Semi & Final. Since there are only 4 teams, my team (TAITANS!!) naturally was in the semi. Eh, we didn't make it to the finals. =(
After 2 months, I'm happy to say that I've improved in frisbee. My throws are stronger & more on target; my defences are smarter; & my cut-ins are more effective. Yippee!! There's still much much more room for improvements of cos. ;p Must improve my stamina too.

Melissa (from SH, not the tai-tai) has gone through tough selections & will be facing the final interview for a most fun & cool job next week. I really really hope she'll clear this final hurdle too. Best of luck Melissa!

4 completes today! *cat whistles* *applause*

Had another 2F meetup just now. But dis time only got me, tunling, yanfen, swee huat, yujin, & jenn yang. This is a small number, but I like it dis way. At least we could sit comfortably around a decent table. At least we could talk to & hear one another easily. At least it was cosy.

Somehow, our conversation turned to, & dwelled on, gays. It appears - men are more homophobic than women. 'Why?', I wondered to myself. Well, I think its cos:
1) gays are more aggressive in picking up guys than lesbians do gals. Hence the straight guys are more intimidated by homosexuals than straight gals.
2) gay relationships are more sexual, wheras lesbian relationships are more bout emotions(?). The thought of the former gross u out more than the latter right?!
3) Men are not as confidant about their manhoods as women are about their womanhoods. Hence, the proximity, or the suggestion, of the probability that they may actually not be as 'man' as they think they are scare the shit out of men. Women are not bothered. Little can shake their certainty about their sexuality.

A new detective is on the beat in central Russia - Rusik the cat - the latest weapon in the battle against sturgeon smugglers.

Rusik has been recruited by police at a checkpoint in the Stavropol region, bordering the Caspian Sea, to hunt out illegal cargoes of the endangered fish.
In fact his ability to sniff out poached fish hidden in trucks and other vehicles is so good that he has replaced the local sniffer dog.
Areas bordering the Caspian Sea are plagued by poachers keen to cash in on stolen sturgeon, whose roe is the delicacy caviar, which sell for huge sums in Moscow and other cities.
An estimated 95% of the world's caviar comes from the Caspian Sea and this lucrative market has meant that the sturgeon has been hunted to the brink of extinction.

Adopted stray
The feline crime fighter walked into a police checkpoint a year ago as a stray kitten.
The staff quickly adopted it, feeding it on scraps of fish confiscated from smugglers.
Now Rusik has cut out the middle man, going direct to the source as he searches vehicles at the checkpoint for smuggled fish.
Rusik earns his regular rations as a member of the team, working alongside his less keen-scented human colleagues.
The little cat has proven a formidable weapon - indeed staff say no matter how ingenious the smugglers are in their attempts to hide the fish, Rusik is always able to point his nose in the right direction and find it.

Once again, i say - big gathering sucks. As last nite've proven.
Its nice to see 'long-lost' friends again after so long. But oh dear, the want of conversation that could interest and involve everybody around the BIG table....
Nonetheless, its sweet, 2F once more. Albeit with many many missing sheeps.
