______________
And every hour of every day I'm learning more
The more I learn, the less I know about before
The less I know, the more I want to look around
Digging deep for clues on higher ground
I didn't mention, did I. That the ghost caught up on me, but I looked it in the face & survived!
Hooray!! 3 Cheers!! *applause* *fireworks* *cartwheels*
Wait! Or did I?!? Donno...confused...dammit!
Lets wait & see...
ps: this is self-rambling. You aren't supposed to understand. So don't think too much. Move on to the next entry pls. (Na ah, don't say 'Duh' now...)
Monday Finally met up with Ah-pao & did our Ah-pao-&-chao-da-roti dinner. Ah-pao is the woman! Eats like a real man yet is svelte like hell. (damn it, life is so unfair!)
Ah-pao is so driven...just listening to her talk bout her plans/ aspiration/ fustration treshold, I feel a sluggish & boring person.
Ah-pao brought me to a real neat place. City hall/city link circuit's best-kept secret - Wild Hibiscus Cafe(?)! Interesting ice-cream, kind prices, nice ambience - yummy!
Tuesday OT. period.
Oh, I almost had dinner with Mr & Mrs Ismail. But Mr I had fever & Mrs I gotta bring him to the doc. Suddenly, I'm struck by an acute awareness of Mr & Mrs I's mortality & how its just him & her, & her & him...
Wednesday Condition@SMU with DK.
& goody!! I met my angel Zi at SMU! Felt very happy to see him. Hmm, not like we have alot alot to talk about, not like we miss each other, but, just am glad to see him. Always am! Hee, he looks the same...aiyoh, how to be a teacher with that young look?!
Last week's conditioning gave me muscle-aches for 3 whole days. Surprisingly, this week's conditioning was more tahan-able. Today's already Fri (or early Sat if you like) & I'm still fine, raring to run & jump! Could be a miracle happened over the week & I've turned super fit!....hee, fat hope! It must be the extra extra stretchings pre-&-post-workout that did the trick.
Last I looked in the mirror (6 hrs ago), I m getting thunder tighs that look like lotus roots. Arrggghhhh!!!
Thursday Pickup@Brewerkz
I didn't have my cleats. I didn't have my disc. So can only stand at side-line & suck thumb.
Most ppl don't believe me when I say this - I'm really, a shy person. Its a 50-50, whether I can muster up enuf courage & confidence to approach a stranger to talk, to ask not-so-close frens to share(disc)/do(throw disc) things with me. On thurs, loser-mode got the better of me (cos of the shit-pit).
But kind Uncle Ra got me to go jogging with him thru Clarke Quay, & coach me abit on faking-during-throws. That was really useful! *grinz*
Friday I've fallen in love.
Saw this gorgeous halter-neck dress in BYSI@J8. It was almost love at first sight. I M SO GOING TO GET THIS FOR MY SIS' WEDDING.
Me, dress, floral prints, lacy trim - fancy that! So, a miracle IS happening this week...
Anyway, seriously, I luv the dress. Err, tho I gotta go down much more to do it justice lah. I wanted to buy it, but for some reasons & a mini chain of events I shant bother to explain here, I didn't. *sulk*
But, will go get it, tmr, for sure.
Pray wait for me, my love, seduce others not...
Work sucks.
Or rather, my job sucks.
Or rather, my office sucks.
Or rather, ppl in my office sucks.
Or rather, stupid ppl sucks.
Man, why does companies keep such shit? Doesn't shit get flushed down the toilet almost immeditately after they appear?
Whatever the case, I got to suvive the shit-pit & live with the shit, so best be more pragmatic &:
1. Learn to keep a straight face, even when dumped with the stinkiest of shit.
2. Learn to forget the stench of shit & scrub off residue shit after I'm outa the shit-pit.
3. Be professional even though my job is but a masquarade of night-soil collector in the good company of shits.
I am not an Ultimate fanatic (as I know many are). But I am getting pretty hooked on the game these days. I get a real trill from throwing the disc & from running madly up & down the pitch. I look forward to each training with the Disc Knights. I'm constantly calculating 'can I make it for pick-up this week?'. Hell, just thinking about the game gives me a high!
Well, for now, I guess this attitude is good. We (me team Disc Knights) are taking part in the Singapore Open on 8th/9th Sept. So from now til then, we really gotta train hard to improve our skills & fitness. Eh, me especially...I suck! Hmm, my 1st real competitive frisbee game...
My current enthusiasm & commitment now have alot to do with the thought process I went throught before I made the decision to join the team & the tournament.
I weighed the pros & the cons; I debated on my wants & priorities, I came to term with the sacrifices I would have to make, blah blah blah....& then I decided - I will go for it.
Making this decision, in this aware & clear state-of-mind, without any external influences like persuasion or coercion or plain hurrying, makes me feel happy, in-control & convinced.
If there's anything I ever learned out of all the boh chem practical sessions, out of obnoxious Dr. Harrison, it be 'If you don't know what you're doing, then don't do it!'. Very sound advice, yup.
I'm lucky, in that I have made good frens with some really great ppl in almost every stage of my life.
My galfrens from sec sch, we have this traditon of get-together slumber party-style. We call it our Sarong Party. To all my Sarong Party sistas, I luv ya!!
This yr's Sarong Party wasn't full attendance. The last SP was 4 yrs ago, too long... but the next one will be even further away...god knows when.
But oh well, it is good the way it is. The precious is valuable only when it is valued by the beholder. If one cares little, leave & defile not what we hold dear.
I wished I've talked to Sha more.
I thank Mrs. I for her relevation that 'the girl is yucky!'. This, has brought me immense amusement. *LOL*
I'm glad Sun has (finally) got a new sarong. Lets all keep our fingers crossed that this sarong will be safe & remain a sarong for the rest of its fabrical life.
These days, I often worry about dying.
Not because I'm afraid of death itself,
But because I'm worried & scared of the many things I cannot acomplish, the wrongs I cannot try or help to right - the trees I cannot shake, the moutains I cannot move - if I were to die.
So yah, I cross the road more cautiously now. Hee...
But, still got glitches with this template leh...
Problem 1: The margins for the top box, & for the bottom 2 boxes are not equal, the latter being bigger, too big.
Problem 2: The font for my archive entries are too big also.
