______________
And every hour of every day I'm learning more
The more I learn, the less I know about before
The less I know, the more I want to look around
Digging deep for clues on higher ground
Watching the images of the dead & people who lost everything - children & possesions, I feel a sobering yet numbing sadness.
The statistics of the dead & missing, the magnitute of this earthquake, its damage - they astonish & confound me.
Why south & south-east Asia, why so near home? Why the poorest & populous of us?
Its totally out-of-the-blue, out-of-one's-imagination, its crazy...
Is this the kharma of life...?
Or have we sinned terribly & the waves come to cleanse us...?
Singapore, is so lucky. I, am so lucky.
Life is fragile, possesions nothing much. The waves have also hit these, my way.
What of enmity, pride, fear, owning, & time ~ when everything could be washed away tomorrow?
The questions above are like questions a crazy lost man w'ask the air & sky.
The most important question now is - What Can I Do?
